the Government of Australia on an initiative to boost smallholder farmers’
incomes: The Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Rural Economic Development
(AIP-Rural).
AIP-Rural is a program with 4 projects:
PRISMA (agricultural development), TIRTA (irrigation), SAFIRA (value chain
finance) and ARISA (applied agriculture research). It follows a Making Markets
Work for the Poor (M4P) approach and will contribute to a 30%, or more,
increase in net incomes for 300,000 smallholder farm households. It works in a
range of sub-sectors in collaboration with farmers, businesses, government and
civil society partners to increase the competitiveness of farm businesses
through (i) increased productivity; (ii) improved business practices; (iii) a
growing share of an expanding market; and (iv) the continuous adoption of
innovations. The project works in five (5) provinces in Eastern Indonesia: East
Java, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur, West Papua and Papua.ResponsibilitiesVisual media in the form of graphic designs
are among the many important communication tools for AIP-Rural and its
programs. The intention is to highlight the positive and beneficial impact as
well encourage social change through visual media. Powerful layout design, in
line with AIP-Rural’s brand image may support project’s communication efforts
by supplementing targeted materials for mass consumption; the products are
intended to raise stakeholders’ awareness of the programs being implemented, as
well as to educate members of the public, and inspire as well as to motivate
changes for the better.
AIP-Rural, intends to implement
communication activities which support the organisation’s program
implementation to its stakeholders. For this, AIP-Rural is seeking a qualified
Graphic Designer Individual Consultant to support the effort. The services required to support AIP-Rural communications activities is
to develop graphic design materials to support AIP-Rural activities.Thus, the Graphic Designer Individual Consultant must be able to come up with graphic design concept which addresses themes and
topics from AIP-Rural work portfolio then provide graphic design services, for below
type of materials:
- Display advertisement
- Print or digital brochures
- T-shirt graphics
- Business marketing materials
- Promotional items
- Event graphics: backdrop, backwall, booth, banner, flyer
- Stationery graphics
- Infographics
- Social media graphics
- Report graphics
- Moving and animated graphics, etc
- In providing services, the consultant will work through several steps as
follow:
- Initial Conception – work directly with
Communications Unit to understand the needs from the start - Material Selection – understanding of
the printed product construction and help spec proper materials for the life
cycle which AIP-Rural requires - Graphic Design – design services to
help AIP-Rural enhance, integrate, and promote, most valuable asset:
AIP-Rural’s brand image - Production Variety – different types of
communications materials
AIP-Rural
will request designed materials and saved editing file (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc) of the design to be submitted.
AIP-Rural will be responsible for the following:
- Task briefing;
- Narrative development;
- Coordination with relevant government
agency; - Development of other media material to
support message delivery; and - Review and approval of all materials
developed.
Requirements1. More than 10 years of experience in Graphic Design Services to
national/multinational clients and based in Indonesia;
2. Possess the capacity to operate Graphic Design and Moving Image
software;
3. Has the ability to provide services in English and Bahasa Indonesia;
4. Familiar with donor/government project or previous experience in
producing materials for international channel outlets is an advantage;
5. Individuals are required to exhibit work portfolio for Infosheet,
Stationery materials, Infographics, animated graphics among other type of
designs.
