CARE International Indonesia in Head Quarter Office-Jakarta is currently recruiting the following position for its project:
JOB TITLE : COMMUNICATIONS and ALLIANCE COORDINATION ADVISOR
DEPARTMENT/PROJECT : PROGRAM/PfR
REPORTS TO : PROGRAM MANAGER and ALLIANCE LEAD
JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Communications and Alliance Coordination Advisor (CAC) is to support the work of the Program Manager and Alliance Lead (PM) in the implementation of the PfR II project. In particular, the CAC will coordinate all project related communication including joint alliance communiqués as well as support and assist in the management of the PfR project and relationships and joint activities with Indonesia-based Alliance partners.
In the role as communications lead, the CAC will provide support in the advocacy components of the PfR in Indonesia, including advocacy to government, the community, external PfR partners, and the general public. Capacity strengthening in communication and messaging for local partners and CSOs will also be the role of the CAC.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of Bachelor in Communications, Management, Development, Social Studies, Communications, or other related field;
2. At least 5 years of experience in a communications role, including developing and implementing media and communications strategies;
3. Experience working with a wide range of partners in project management, and engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders and coordinating cross-functional groups;
4. Experience working with a development NGO in multi-cultural environment;
5. Relevant knowledge and/or experience in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and ecosystem management restoration;
6. Experience with the design, implementation, management and evaluation of programs;
7. Experience in participatory planning and review techniques;
8. Experience working in NTT or eastern Indonesia region;
9. Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of CARE including effective negotiation, facilitation and representation skills;
10. An understanding of gender issues and gender-sensitive approach to programming;
11. Understanding and skills in relation to facilitating institutional development and organizational change;
12. Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team in a cross cultural environment
13. Willingness to spend significant time in the field;
14. Strong interpersonal skills;
15. Ability to work with little supervision;
16. Practical computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.);
17. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
18. Fluently spoken and written English.
