CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and enterprise & economic development. CARE International Indonesia in Kupang (East Nusa Tenggara-NTT) is currently recruiting the following position for its project:
JOB TITLE : MONITORING and EVALUATION, COMMUNITY OUTREACH and IRM DIALOGUE SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT/PROJECT : PROGRAM/PfR
REPORTS TO : PROJECT MANAGER and ALLIANCE LEAD (PM)
JOB SUMMARY
Working under the Field Coordinator (FC), the PfR Monitoring and Evaluation, Community Outreach and IRM Dialogue Specialist will be responsible for providing input and support in the planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of IRM dialogue initiatives in the project area in NTT, in collaboration with local partner organizations and local government.
He/she will work closely with local partners to ensure effective project implementation in the field, including building the IRM dialogue capacity of, and supporting the IRM dialogue interventions of, local civil society organizations and other identified organizations and institutions. He/she will also work closely with the Knowledge Management and Reporting Specialist, providing him/her with relevant qualitative information sourced through regular engagement with the community and local partners.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
1. Field Monitoring and Evaluation;
2. IRM Dialogue;
3. Community Outreach and other.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master Degree in Business, Development, Microenterprises, Social Science or relevant field;
2. At least 8 years of experience in community development, development cooperation and/or humanitarian activities in Indonesia;
3. Experience in the livelihoods and microenterprise sectors, with experience and knowledge on how to implement effective approaches for livelihood interventions, and the ability to apply them in a participatory manner;
4. Relevant knowledge and/or experience in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and ecosystem management restoration;
5. Experience in participatory planning and review techniques;
6. Experience of the asset based approach (appreciative inquiry);
7. Knowledge and skills in livelihood issues, especially those related to agriculture and microenterprise;
8. An understanding of gender issues and gender-sensitive approach to programming;
9. Capacity building, communication and facilitation skills;
10. Willingness to spend a lot of time in the field;
11. Strong interpersonal skills;
12. Ability to work with little supervision;
13. Practical computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.);
14. Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team in a cross cultural environment;
15. Experience working in NTT or eastern Indonesia region;
16. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
17. Fluently spoken and written English.
