POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the development of carbon and biodiversity markets. The Corporate Finance Analyst will be part of the team that assesses NBS projects, evaluates investment opportunities through market research and financial modeling, and develops investment structures for our clients. As a member of the Singapore-headquartered finance team and working closely with the project teams in Indonesia and Malaysia, the Corporate Finance Analyst will also monitor and review the financial performance of the projects in our funds. In addition, they will support the CEO, CIO, and Corporate Finance team in the Company’s corporate development and growth.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Environmental Finance
- Support in financial structuring of funds and products
- Financial modeling for innovative funding mechanisms
- Financial modeling of new project opportunities
- Lead the review and negotiation of multi-year budgets for operational and potential projects
- Develop expertise on target cost levels for specific activities, items and project types
- Support Business Development pitches for new clients and projects
- Monitor the financial performance of operational projects, identifying budget variations and proposing corrective actions
- Prepare reporting of fund management performance for both internal and external stakeholders
- NBS Investment Assessment
- Support in the financial assessment and structuring of NBS projects
- Develop standard cost pricing systems together with NBS project teams
- Analyze returns and cost of various environmental outcomes (e.g. climate, biodiversity and community)
- Prepare due diligence reports summarizing key findings for our Investment Committee
- Corporate Development and Growth
- Support the Management and Corporate Finance team in developing long-term financial and commercial plans
- Perform market research, data mining and business intelligence
- Generate high-quality corporate funding presentation materials
- Analyze financial data and create financial models to support Management’s decisions
REQUIREMENTS
- Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or environmental fields
- Minimum of 1-2 years of investment, project, and/or corporate finance experience
- Excellent quantitative skills and proficiency in financial modeling
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Fluency in business English, good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel within Southeast Asia
- Knowledge of environmental or NBS sector is a plus
