are urgently needed local consultants of Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus
Elimination (MNTE) and Polio endgame strategies. Please find below

Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus
Elimination (MNTE) and Polio Endgame Strategies


 


Type of contract               :
Agreement
for Performance of Work (APW)


Duration                              :
3 months


Location                               : Yahukimo, Puncak Jaya, Nduga, Pegunungan Bintang and Membramo Raya Districts,
Papua Province


 


Under the overall guidance of the WHO Representative
(WR) Indonesia and the direct supervision of the EPI team leader in WHO
Indonesia to support the Ministry of Health, Papua Provincial Health Office
(PHO) and 5 selected District Health Offices (DHO) in the following:


 


A.      MNTE


1.    Validate

number of target population (reported vs actual) and check the accessibility
status per village in each puskesmas.


2.    Analyze TT
coverage (women at reproductive age/WRAs and infants) for both supplementary
immunization activities (SIA) and routine immunization per village.


3.    Analyze routine immunization data
per village in each puskesmas.


4.    Identify pocket areas where TT
coverage < 80% preferably in high populated and accessible areas.


5.    Conduct at least one Rapid
convenient assessment for TT in WRA in each sub-district with 15-20 WRAs in 5
villages per puskesmas.


6.    Planning for
sweeping T/SIA in the recommended districts using BOK funds for TT vaccination
to reach > 80% coverage.


7.    Develop micro plans for each
puskesmas and ensure that :


      
Hard-to-reach population pockets are reached
through sweeping by village, check the accessibility of the villages


      
Vaccine and logistics  are calculated and ensured


      
Vaccine movement  and cold chain plan are well executed


      
Vaccinators are available under BOK funds


      
Supervision plan for sweeping is available


8.    Ensure regular reporting of the
routine and sweeping data by each puskesmas to the district health office using
monitoring tools for reporting and recording.


 


B.     
Polio Endgame
strategies


1.      
Assisting DOH in planning and monitoring National Immunization Day,
8-14 March 2016


2.      
Assisting DOH in planning and monitoring the switch tOPV to bOPV,
4 April 2016


               
Ensure tOPV inventory is updated


               
Ensure bOPV is available in all service
points/health facilities before the switch


 


Education
Qualifications


* Essential


Secondary level education in health
related subject from a recognized institution


Desirable


University
degree from a recognized institution


 


Experience


* Essential


At
least 3 years’ experience in public health (implementing public health
programs, assessing and/or recommending policy changes, collecting and
utilizing public health data for action) in Papua province


 


Desirable


       Experience in communicable
disease program


       Critical analysis of public
health data


       Management of public health
activities/projects at district level


       Significant involvement in communication
campaigns or communication strategies related to health (especially at the
community or population-based level)


       Advocacy with stake holders such
as local government


       Train the health care worker/NGO
