About the Recruitment

The RISE Foundation advocates for the rights of young people by providing holistic access to health information and support for capacity strengthening in various development issues. Additionally, we aim to cultivate an environment that promotes inclusive and meaningful participation of youth, while also fostering equitable relationships between young people and adults.

RISE Foundation is supported by Yayasan Humanis and Inovasi Sosial (Humanis) in implementing the Urban Futures program, which focuses on enhancing the involvement of young people in the climate-resilient urban food system through the approach of the Right to Food and Nutrition in the city of Bandung and West Manggarai Regency. Urban food systems, meaningful youth participation and climate change action are all incorporated into the Urban Futures initiative. The program places a strong emphasis on developing creative urban food policies, designing inclusive cities that can withstand climate change, and assisting the upcoming generation of sustainable food industry entrepreneurs.

To support the implementation process, the RISE Foundation is currently offering a job opportunity for the position of Digital Youth Engagement Specialist with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibility:

1. Coordinate and communicate with youth communities and organizations
2. Create safe and creative spaces involving youth communities and organizations
3. Organize youth movements through community and organizational empowerment
4. Coordinate with project staff to ensure meaningful youth engagement
5. Prepare progress reports and youth empowerment process documentation for each stage
6. Provide technical assistance to partner organizations of the Rise Foundation regarding meaningful and inclusive youth engagement
7. Develop a grand design for youth engagement in the Urban Futures project

Qualifications:

1. Current students or fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (sociology, social development, public health, or other relevant fields)
2. Proven experience in community development especially for online community
3. Experience working in a non-profit organization
4. Demonstrated experience in working with Youth Communities or organization
5. Deep knowledge of youth and community development
6. Fluent in Indonesian and English (speaking and writing)
7. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
8. Ability to travel when needed
9. Preferred to be domiciled in Yogyakarta and its surrounding areas
