Job Description
As the Director of the Orangutan Haven, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, development, and execution of this project, ensuring its continued success and positive impact on the environment and local community. You will be responsible for setting up functioning organizational structures and processes, leading and motivating a team of dedicated individuals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and experts in the field. You will report directly to the board of YEL.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Defining a 5-year Business Plan, outlining strategic goals, budget and objectives to guide the organisations’s growth
- Develop and provide leadership in the delivery of a 5-year Development Strategy Plan.
- Oversee the implementation of the Development Strategy Plan.
- Set up and manage organizational structures, processes, and policies.
- Build, develop, and lead the Orangutan Haven team.
- Maintain effective alliances and operational collaboration with public and private partners.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Job Requirements
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience in business/ngo management, nature conservation, international cooperation, environmental education, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leading position in a zoo, international organization, sustainable business, school, community, or similar setting.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex projects.
- Experience in team management and diverse professional profiles.
- Experience in program and project management, strategy development, and team development.
- A record of success partnering with and influencing key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Fluency in English and basic knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
- Intercultural sensibility and willingness to travel internationally.
