POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

The HUB Coordinator, reporting to the
Country Manager, will provide leadership and management for the local HUB and
its associated activities. S/he will support activities to build partner and
youth capacity in livelihood development. 
S/he will establish and maintain positive, collaborative and productive
relationships with project staff, implementing partners, youth participants and
volunteers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Provide leadership and management for the
    coordination and delivery of HUB activities
  2. Develop and maintain working with local partner,
    public and private sector.
  3. Carry out management responsibilities performance
    Hub Partner to identify project for support and work with them to deliver,
    monitor and evaluate these. 
  4. Management of and support to teams of Canadian
    volunteers
  5. Monitor annual work plans and ensure compliance
  6. Ensure preparation and submission of project
    activity reports
  7. Provide guidance to the HUB staff regarding tools
    and strategies to ensure that programming is responsive to youth and
    volunteer needs
  8. Ensure program quality through implementation of
    country-specific project review systems and comprehensive M&E systems
  9. Develop and maintain relationship with Canadian
    foreign missions
  10. Remain well-informed about national and regional
    issues affecting youth
  11. Support the development and update of sector strategies
    in relevant areas of programming
  12. Provide support to ensure that activities are
    meeting their goals and targets, recommend program adjustments when
    necessary to keep the project on track
  13. Support training and supervision of HUB staff and
    volunteer teams
  14. Coordinate training activities for youth
  15. Coordination of and support to HUB Network
  16. Engage
    private sector and relevant actors in forming a multi-stakeholder network
    to support youth employment/entrepreneurship objectives
  17. Coordinate orientation training for Canadian
    volunteers

18.  Perform other duties as delegated by the Country Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. Applicant must be a citizen of Indonesia
  2. University Diploma
  3. 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible
    leadership and coordination experience
  4. Understanding of and compatible vision for
    effective community development with a focus on networking and training
    delivery
  5. Ability to work with and through partners
  6. Passion for working with youth; an understanding
    of the current situation for young people
  7. Comfort with linking work to a range of
    stakeholders, including civil authorities, community group leaders,
    donors, private sector and other international NGOs on initiatives
  8. Experience with current approaches to adult
    learning and participatory methods for M&E
  9. Proven ability to develop and monitor work plans
    and training plans
  10. Demonstrated mentoring abilities and experience
    supporting peers
  11. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  12. Strong verbal and written English skills required
