The international medical humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières/MSF) Hong Kong is looking for a talented individual for the following temporary position (2-3 months) to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia : EVENTS ASSISTANT.

Job Description for Events Assistant:
• Assist in organizing and implementing the MSF public event in Jakarta.
• Assist in coordinating with contractors and vendors of the exhibition.
• Together with Communications Manager, identify schools, universities, communities for event promotion to be updated in the database.
• Draft letters for different parties according to the needs (promotion and invitation).
• Meet schools, universities and other communities to promote MSF public event and invite them to join the group tours.
• Coordinate delivery of invitations, posters (e-mail, courier or personal delivery).
• Liaise with the venue and event agency for financial transaction or delivery of items.
• Assist in the day-to-day operation during the event period.

Our ideal candidate is independent, responsible, creative and a problem-solver in the execution of large scale public events and project coordination. She/he should be:
• a university graduate, with experience in public communications, marketing and/or fundraising with minimum 1 year relevant work experience
• a good team-player and demonstrates clear commitment to the aims and values of MSF
• strong organisational, presentation and negotiating skills
• able to work under pressure and respect deadlines
• having sound knowledge in the necessary administrative procedures in the organisation of public events
• having resourceful connections with events-related partners, service vendors, relevant communities
• basic competence in working with advertising agencies, design houses and contractors
