Program Background
Prospera is a A$259 million eight-year program building on two decades of Australia’s support for economic governance in Indonesia. Prospera incorporates 15 Australian Government agencies and over 200 expert advisers and program staff from diverse backgrounds. Prospera also collaborates closely with the Katalis program to realise the benefits of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.

Prospera delivers climate and energy activities as part of the policy and regulatory workstreams of an Australia-Indonesia climate partnership. The energy transition is a significant opportunity for Indonesia to create competitive industries and jobs in pursuit of its 2045 ambition of becoming an advanced nation.
Prospera commenced in March 2018 and will conclude in February 2026.

The Role
Prospera is seeking to engage a Green Growth Analytics Specialist with strong analytics skill to conduct research, modelling and analysis to inform green growth and decarbonization plans. This position will be part of the Technical Support Team that is set to support the Office of the Special Envoy for Climate and Energy through the Indonesia Climate and Growth Dialogue (ICGD) and the relevant government of Indonesia counterparts in advancing climate and energy issues.
The Specialist must have a strong background in climate policy, economic analysis, or sustainable development—particularly expertise at the intersection of finance, industry, and climate.
This role will work closely with Prospera’s Climate and Energy team and the Interim Indonesia Climate and Growth Dialogue (ICGD) Secretariat to develop a develop policy papers and recommendations in Green Growth. The role will also require close collaboration with Office of the Special Envoy for Climate and Energy, ICGD board members, and Prospera as well as ongoing reporting to track progress and achieve the desired outcomes.

About You
The Green Growth Analytics Specialist shall be an experienced professional with a strong background in climate policy, economic analysis, or sustainable development—particularly expertise at the intersection of finance, industry, and climate. They must have solid understanding of one or more of the following topics: climate finance, emissions reduction strategies, industrial decarbonization, and market-based climate solutions, with insights into both global trends and a deep understanding of the Indonesian policy and key players in the private sector green industrial landscape.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Education & Experience: A master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field and/or at least 5 years of experience in advisory, consulting, or policy analysis.
- Policy & Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of international and domestic policies related to green growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven track record of working with governments, development finance institutions, donors, philanthropic organizations, financial institutions, and businesses.
- Industry Exposure: Preferably experienced in one or more of the following sectors: energy, industry, manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, or Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).
- Problem-Solving & Research: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with exceptional research capabilities. Strong quantitative skill is highly desirable.
- Project & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and engage with stakeholders at different levels.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, including experience in writing reports, policy briefs, and presentations. Strong interpersonal skills. Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.
- Team Collaboration & Adaptability: A collaborative team player with the ability to quickly adapt to new areas of work.
Remuneration
The remuneration will be set according to National Remuneration Framework Group C, Job Level 2. The remuneration level at which the position is engaged will be based on the successful candidates’ relevant skills and experience and will be subject to Indonesian employment regulations and tax obligations. This position is a long-term position, open for National Indonesian applicants.
