Location: North Sumatera ProvinceOverview:The
USAID/Indonesia Expanding Maternal and Neonatal Survival (EMAS) Project,
Cooperative Agreement Number AID-497-A¬-11-00014, is a five year program to
support the Government of Indonesia (GOI) to reduce maternal and newborn
mortality. EMAS works with Indonesian government agencies (national, provincial
and local), Civil Society Organizations, public and private health facilities,
health professional organizations, and the private sector. The project is
expected to result in an overall 25% decline in national maternal and newborn
mortality
 He/She will provide assistances in
strengthening Sustainability and Replication strategy of EMAS Program. He/she will work closely with Provincial
Program Manager and Senior Provincial Advisor, who is responsible for the
overall strategic direction and oversight for provincial and district-level
activities across the EMAS program.
 Responsibilities: Overseeing
provincial and district-level activities related to replication and
sustainability including:

  • Work
    closely with Senior Provincial Advisor and Provincial Program Manager to
    implement the replication and sustainability strategy of EMAS Program.
  • Involved
    in Provincial Activities related with sustainability and replication
    strategy  in lining with district
    strategies
  • Assisting
    partners in districts and Province level to develop sustainability strategy and
    monitoring system of Emas Program Activities
  • Assist
    completeness of referral strategy implementation across district and province
  • Work
    closely with Program Officer to coordinate a meeting, workshop and training in
    disbursement needed based on activity budget. Qualifications: 
  • Master’s
    Degree in health or social sciences or a related field
  • A
    minimum of five years of mid to senior team leader experience in designing,
    implementing of complex projects in developing countries
  • Previous
    experience working with USAID
  • Experience
    in maternal and newborn health and/or community interventions preferred 
  • Familiar
    with the Indonesia health system, key stakeholders and relevant government
    policies/strategies
  • Familiar
    with EMAS PROGRAM (Expanding Maternal & Neonatal Survival Program) in North
    Sumatera will be advantage
  • Resident
    of local area preferred (see Job Location above)
  • Experience
    and demonstrated ability working with government health programs, counterparts
    and systems
  • Proven
    depth and breadth of technical and management expertise and experience
  • Strong
    ability to work and communicate within team members
  • Demonstrated
    excellence in oral and written Indonesian language; English language
    proficiency preferred
  • Ability
    to work independently and to exercise independent judgment
  • Ability
    to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated
    ability to exercise confidentiality and professionalism
  • Microsoft
    Office computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel , Power Point and Outlook
  • Willingness
