Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

Yayasan Konservasi Indonesia (KI), the main partner of Conservation International (CI) in Indonesia, envisions a healthy and prosperous Indonesia where biodiversity is valued and preserved. With offices and project sites across Indonesia, we promote a sustainable landscape-seascape approach and establish partnerships with multiple stakeholders across sectors and jurisdictions to deliver lasting impacts for people and nature in Indonesia.
Konservasi Indonesia is building programs that brings positive impacts for nature and people at scale. Measuring impacts of the program is key to strengthen program strategy, design, and implementation. The ME Coordinator will work with other ME staff and the project team to carry out ME Framework and Safeguards policy. To support the Konservasi Indonesia team in achieving its vision and mission, the role of ME Coordinator is needed to strengthen the Konservasi Indonesia team, especially in the implementation of the ME framework and Safeguards of the project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop project’s monitoring and evaluation systems, results framework and monitoring and Evaluation Plan.
- Conduct regular monitoring update by using indicator Tracking Table to track project progress against plan
- Compile and consolidate Impact Indicators data
- Support related program team in set up social economy data collection (baseline/ endline survey)
- Conduct social economy data analysis that relevant to KI’s projects and present social economy data, as necessary.
- Support data management for KI projects
- Contributes to the quality assurance of report submitted by KI’s consultant
- Contributes to sectoral monitoring that relevant to KI’s initiatives such as seaweed, fisheries, and eco-tourism business.
- Perform field monitoring visit as appropriate
- Project Safeguards
- Develop safeguards screening for new KI’s projects as assigned
- Develop 4 safeguards policy (ESMF, Accountability and Grievance Mechanism, Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and Gender Mainstreaming Plan) or limited safeguards, depending on level the project risk as appropriate
- Update and monitor project safeguards
- Project Reporting and Coordination
- Prepare and update infographic and presentation deck for support KI’s reporting, communication and outreach
- Document the project’s MoV and updated profiles files and correspondences with partners
- Support Communication team with relevant data for IEC materials development
- Work with KI personnel to identify appropriate materials and mechanisms to support improved reporting and communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, ecology, environmental science, social science, or related field.
- 4 – 6 years of experience working with socioeconomic issues and developing incentives to achieve conservation priorities.
- 5 years of experiences in monitoring and evaluation in national NGOs, INGOs or donors project.
- Possess project safeguards experience or knowledge would be an advantage.
- Experience with project development, management, and implementation.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with institutions at the national and regional level including the private sector, NGOs, and local communities.
- Team player and able to work effectively with diverse works groups in a multicultural environment.
- Strong analytical and assessment skills.
- Familiar with statistical software such as SPSS or Stata
- Understanding of the economic and social issues facing developing countries and the local communities strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proposal writing experience preferred.
- Advance degree preferred.

- Typical office environment.
- This position requires frequent travel, to attend meetings, visit field projects and interact with local authorities and communities.
