Consultant for Graphic/Layout Designer
 
 
Background
 
Strengthening
Integrity and Accountability Program 1 (SIAP-1) is a five-year USAID funded
program which is aimed to contribute a good governance and economic growth in
Indonesia by strengthening integrity and accountability of Indonesia government
agencies.
 
For
the past few years, SIAP-1 has been working with several governance agencies,
such as Civil Service Commission (KASN), KemenPANRB, Ombudsman RI, and Central
Information Commission (KIP). Following the support, MSI SIAP-1 is producing
several publications, such as training module, SOP, books, etc. SIAP-1 would
like to publish those reports and publication to be available for other
beneficiaries/public. Therefore, this requires a good text layout and the use
of graphics of the publications.. In this regards, MSI/SIAP-1 is keen to hire a
graphic/layout designer to produce a layout and design some of SIAP-1
publications in accordance with the USAID branding guideline.
 
Scope of Work
In
general, the graphic/layout designer shall develop a professional looking
design and layout for books/modules/other publications. Specifically, she/he
shall perform the following tasks:

1. Submit the preliminary layout of the publication
   of the inside pages, easy to read document such as the typeface for
   headings and sub-headings, the color palette or combinations of colors
   used, and the paragraph style, for discussion with MSI SIAP-1
2. Submit three option of cover design of the publication
   for discussion with MSI SIAP-1
3. Incorporate suggestion on the selected layout as
   discussed with MSI SIAP-1
4. Design and layout the publication
5. Submit the publication to MSI SIAP-1 review (up
   to 3 rounds of corrections to be covered in this agreement)
6. Ensure all corrections have been inserted
7. Obtain a final approval from MSI SIAP-1
8. Prepare the electronic files and coordinate with
   MSI/SIAP-1 closely on the printing process to ensure the high quality
   product

 
Deliverable

• Preliminary text, design & layout for
  discussion with MSI SIAP-1
• Final design layout approved by MSI SIAP-1 and
  follow up with printing vendor

 
Period
of Contract

• Time frame of the contract will be further
  discussed

 
Qualifications:

1. Reputable graphic/layout designer
2. Excellent graphic design skills with minimum 3
   years working experience in book layout & design
3. Excellent command of Adobe, Creative Suite,
   InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PageMaker, CorelDraw, and
   other software programs for design
4. Experienced working with USAID program is
   preferred
5. Ability to deliver timely and high quality
   results under tight deadlines
6. Excellent coordination skills, and an ability to
   follow instructions and work under pressure
7. Excellent attention to detail
