Partnerships and Communications Manager
Job Overview
The Partnerships and Communications Manager will be responsible for advancing our organization’s mission by cultivating strong partnerships with funders and other NGOs while driving impactful communications strategies. The role will emphasize providing strategic support to partners and champions, ensuring the successful creation and communication of outputs and achievements from bamboo village initiatives. This position will also lead media outreach efforts to enhance the visibility of our programs and build relationships with media outlets to ensure appropriate coverage at both national and international levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Management
- Develop, nurture, and manage strategic relationships with key NGOs and funders to support collaboration, resource mobilization, and the scaling of initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance to partners and champions, helping them create and effectively communicate the outputs and successes of each implementation partner.
- Ensure that partnership-driven content reflects the organization’s mission and resonates with global audiences, enhancing the overall impact of our programs
- Content Development & Training
- Train and guide partners and champions in producing high-quality, engaging content that showcases the achievements of bamboo villages
- Oversee the creation of storytelling frameworks, tools, and resources to support partners in developing content that can be shared widely across Bamboo Village Trust’s platforms.
- Monitor and assess the quality of content produced by partners to ensure consistency, alignment with organizational messaging, and high impact.
- Media Outreach & Visibility
- Design and implement media outreach strategies to increase media coverage of Bamboo Village Trust’s initiatives and achievements, ensuring that our work reaches both national and international audiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets to secure ongoing coverage and visibility for our programs, successes, and strategic goals.
- Lead efforts to identify media opportunities, including feature stories, interviews, and partnerships with journalists and media agencies, positioning BVT as a leader in bamboo and sustainability initiatives.
- Communications
- Lead external communication efforts across PR, social media, and digital platforms to amplify the visibility of our work and engage key stakeholders.
- Develop communication materials, press releases, and digital content that highlight the impact of partnerships and bamboo village initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams and partners to ensure timely and effective communication across all channels.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a small team responsible for communications and partnership support, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and high performance.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture that empowers the team to deliver on partnership and communication goals effectively
- Strategic Planning
- Work closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to ensure that partnership and communications strategies are aligned with broader organizational goals and long-term objectives.
- Provide regular updates on partnership outcomes and media coverage, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize impact and visibility
Job Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in partnership management and communications, ideally within an international NGO or similar organization.
- Strong relationship-building skills with experience working with media outlets, NGOs, and funders.
- Expertise in developing media outreach strategies and securing media coverage at national and international levels.
- Experience in content development, with the ability to train and guide partners in producing impactful, high-quality content.
- Leadership experience in managing small teams and working in cross-functional, international environments.
- Ability to travel internationally and represent the organization at global forums and events.
- Placement in BALI and can join ASAP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in working with NGOs, funders, and media agencies.
- Experience in developing and implementing media outreach strategies.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms.
- Fluency in English is a must, multilingual proficiency is a plus.
