Personal Assistant to Project Manager

Abt Associates seeks a Personal Assistant to Project Manager for a land use planning project in Indonesia. Responsibilities would include working closely with Admin & Finance Manager and also Chief of Party. Personal assistants (PAs) often act as the high level’s first point of contact with people from both inside and outside the organization, but not limited to:

Job description:
• Assist with editing reports in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Ability to organize information
• Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
• Occasionally, travelling with the high level management to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during
• Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
• Compile & collect reports and presentations;
• Organizing and attending meetings and ensuring the high level management is well prepared for meetings;
• Liaising with clients and internal staff.

In addition to supporting managers, their team and departments, many PAs also have their own personal workload and responsibilities. The scope of the PA’s role can be extensive and additional duties may include:

• Carrying out specific projects and research;
• Taking on some of the manager’s responsibilities and working more closely with management;
• Deputizing for the manager, making decisions and delegating work to others in the manager’s absence;
• Being involved in decision-making processes.

• S1 graduate in social sciences or liberal arts
• Good Bahasa Indonesia writing skills
• English language skill including writing English
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good computer skills
• Efficient, discrete, flexible, self-motivated, organized, proactive, good communicator
