Project Communications Manager – Kemitraan
VACANCY NOTICE
The Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia (Kemitraan) is a multi-stakeholder organization
promoting and advancing governance reform to achieve fair, democratic and
sustainable welfare of the people. It expresses Indonesian ownership, and
offers a platform that brings together the Indonesian Government, Legislature,
Judiciary, Civil Society, Corporate Sector and the International Community
supporting, engaged or investing in Indonesia.
Currently Kemitraan is embarking on a new project to support stakeholder
engagement and technical assistance to finalize Indonesia’s REDD+ architecture,
in particular its financing instrument. To complete our team we have an
immediate vacancy for a high caliber Indonesian to fill the position of
PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Duties and
Responsibilities
Works in a small team of Project Advisors to coordinate communications
at different levels of the project, and reports to the Senior Advisor and the Executive
Director (ED). The project entails close collaboration with the Indonesian
Ministry of Forestry and Environment (KLHK). Specific responsibilities include:
ü Supports the
development of project Communications and Consultations strategy
ü Contribute to and
ensure publication of project communication outputs (newsletters/ website/pamphlets/infographics)
ü In consultation with project advisors, arrange media gathering or
press conference and prepare press releases
ü Attend selected
project meetings
ü Support project
events organizing
ü Attend and take
minutes of project team meetings
ü Coordinate and keep
overview of project consultations meeting reports
ü Contribute to and
coordinate preparation of project reports to donor(s)
ü Support registering
project outputs in Kemitraan’s tracking system
Qualifications Required
ü Experience with developing communications for
different target audiences
ü Experience in media relations and print and
electronic publishing
ü Knowledge of / interest in climate change and
environmental issues in Indonesia and beyond
ü Excellent writing and oral
communication skills
ü Ability to initiate and organize
work, to establish priorities in a time-sensitive environment and meet
deadlines with attention to detail and quality
ü Proficient in English
ü Bachelor’s Degree (preferable
Master’s Degree) or
equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, International
Relations or a related field
ü
A minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience, preferably in the
field of journalism or public relations related to governance issues
Compensation terms offered for this post are competitive, and will be commensurate
with the skills and experience of the selected candidate. The appointment is for 1 (one) year. The
successful candidate will be expected to take up his/her duties as soon as possible,
preferably in March 2017. Please
