Project Specialist Support Consultant on Communication and Demand Creation
Job Description
UNAIDS has served as the lead coordinating body for international development partners in the HIV response in Indonesia. This partnership continues to leverage the existing function of UNAIDS to bring together all UN and other technical agencies involved in reaching acceleration plan targets. HIV Treatment, Testing & Prevention remains a major gap in the national HIV response. As such USAID and DFAT are providing support to UNAIDS Indonesia to exercise its critical role to ensure that Indonesia will reach its targets through mobilization of technical assistance by national expert on HIV Prevention, Testing & Treatment to build capacity of national and sub-national implementing partners to deliver client-oriented services; and to generate demand by PLHIV and key population to access those services
Key Task includes the following:
• Closely work with NAP and UCO Team on quarterly basis to document and communicate best practices on HIV Prevention, Testing and Treatment program from national and sub-national level supported by the UN Joint Team, DFAT, PEPFAR and the Global Fund; and to promote cross learning across HIV priority districts in Indonesia.
• Consolidate project implementation framework and agreed milestones on community-based demand creation campaign for HIV Prevention, Testing & Treatment supported by various donors including the UN Joint Team, Global Fund, USAID and DFAT in Indonesia.
• Facilitate routine coordination meeting, consultative meetings and or workshops related to the implementation on Demand Creation on HIV Prevention, Testing & Treatment supported by various donors including the UN Joint Team, the Global Fund, USAID and DFAT in Indonesia.
• Provide hands-on technical assistance for national CSO partners to strengthen community-based demand creation campaign on HIV Prevention, Testing and Treatment; and addressing Stigma and Discrimination.
• Consolidate progress reports monthly from all implementing partners against agreed milestones and produce implementation gap analysis for consideration of the national HIV stakeholders.
• Closely work with UCO Team to document and communicate progress and achievements of projects managed by UCO Indonesia. This entails support to managing all UCO communication channel internally and externally, including on mass media and social media engagement.

Education Qualifications:
University degree in social science, public health, mass communication, human rights or international development
Experience:
• At least 5 years of professional experience working on HIV response at national level complemented by experience in the areas of communication and community-based demand creation on HIV Testing, Prevention and Treatment
• Demonstrated experience in managing diverse corporate communication channels including experience in engagement with mass media and social media channels on social and health issues such as HIV.
• Demonstrated experience working in diverse environments with cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
• Broad experience in working with and mobilizing a range of external partners, especially with the Ministry of Health; Research Universities / Agencies; community-based organizations delivering HIV services; PLHIV and Key Population networks.
Languages: Bahasa Indonesia (essential) and advanced knowledge of English
