ISEAN-Hivos-GF-R10-HIV/AIDS –“Strengthening community systems to reduce vulnerability to and impact of HIV infection on MSM and TG in Islands of Southeast Asia”

Seeking consultant to edit the video documentation of good practices in Indonesia, the Philippines and Timor-Leste

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The Islands of Southeast Asia Network on Male and Transgender Sexual Health (ISEAN) and the Humanist Institute for Co-operation with Developing Countries (Hivos) jointly implemented the ISEAN Hivos Program (IHP) supported by Global Fund Round 10. This program has the main goal of reducing the risks, vulnerability and impact of HIV and AIDS on the lives of MSM and transgender community in Island of Southeast Asia Nations. It intends to address critical gaps in supporting and scaling up activities that reduce HIV/AIDS among MSMs and TGs.

ISEAN-Hivos, as the Principal Recipient of the grant under the ISEAN-Hivos Program Global Fund Round 10 is now on its Phase 2 of implementation from October 2013 to September 2016. In this last year of implementation, ISEAN-Hivos aims to document best practices and  lesson learnt through the implementation of the program in audio-video format.

In this regard, it is seeking the Expressions of Interest from qualified Consultant to apply for the following tasks:

a.       To develop the video storyline of Indonesia, the Philippines and Timor-Leste referring to the pilot video that has been done previously;

b.      Collate and edit the video footages into a 10 to 15 minute documentary of the profile and good practices of CBOs in Indonesia, the Philippines and Timor-Leste working on LGBT and HIV-STI concerns;

c.       Add all necessary animation, music and other graphic design for the video, including the subtitles. Video may be in the local language but must have English subtitles in the final form;

d.      Present the first draft of the video for inputs;

e.       Develop the final edited (clean version) product ready for uploading or for public screening.

Key Qualifications:

a.       Established experience in video editing and all production process;

b.      Preferably with demonstrable track record of producing publications/ documentation related to HIV, health and development;

c.       Preferably a resident of South East Asia;

d.      With experience in conducting researches/documentation in one of the ISEAN-Hivos countries;

e.       Fluency in written and spoken English;

f.        Preferably familiar with the language of one of the 4 IHP countries.
