Site Manager: Sintang – Sekadau
Background: Yayasan Planet Indonesia (YPI) is a non-profit organization that focuses on conserving at-risk ecosystems through community-led partnerships. At the core of our approach is advancing community-led governance to catalyze social-ecological outcomes (www.planetindonesia.org).
Position: We are seeking a full-time Site Manager. This position is a full-time position based in Pontianak and Sintang, West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Chief Program Officer (CPO). The functions and responsibilities of this position include:
- Overseeing all activities in the Sintang-Sekadau region.
- Leading staff and volunteers in coordinating the implementation of community development/empowerment and conservation activities in the region.
- Collaborating with community partners, stakeholders, and other organizations to manage and preserve natural resources and community empowerment.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the project site, including planning, scheduling, and execution of work activities.
- Monitor the quality of work being performed on site to ensure that it meets the specified standards. Address any issues or defects promptly.
- Compile field activity reports
Qualifications and experience
The successful candidate will have experience in:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (S-1) or higher in a relevant field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in community-based conservation, rural empowerment, and community economic development.
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and across cultures.
- Strong data processing and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work in areas with limited access.
