SNV is a not-for-profit international development organisation. Founded in

the poorest countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Our global team of

communities, businesses and organisations with the tools, knowledge and
connections they need to increase their incomes and gain access to basic
services – empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and guide their own
development.

South Sumatra Partnership for Landscape Management Support Project

This project is titled South Sumatra Partnership for Landscape Management
Support Project, and aims to facilitate and support the government, private
sector and local communities, to establish and pilot the sustainable
landscape management partnership approach in the Sembilang-Dangku landscape
of South Sumatra. This landscape broadly matches the Banyuasin watershed and
includes the South Sumatra’s priority peatland landscape. The landscape has
greatest potential for greenhouse gas emission reductions through improved
peatland and forest protection and management in South Sumatra, and can act
as a model for the replication of this approach both within and beyond South
Sumatra.

namely: 1) Support the sustainable and resilient expansion of oil palm and
rubber production 2) Promote better management practices (BMP) to increase
oil palm and rubber productivity, 3) Support an inclusive business model to

transition to a zero-deforestation and sustainable production system through
improved land use planning and environmental awareness, enhancing economic
