We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of TB Research Analyst (Evidence Synthesis) for BEBAS-TB, a USAID funded project that will contribute to Accelerating the Elimination of Tuberculosis in Indonesia.

The goal of Bersama Menuju Eliminasi dan Bebas dari TB (BEBAS-TB) under Accelerating Elimination of TB in Indonesia Annual Program Statement: 2023-2028 is to assist the Government of Indonesia in addressing the TB epidemic and achieving 2030 TB elimination targets. Vital Strategies is part of a consortium led by MSH, to support a strong and resilient health system to accelerate TB elimination. Vital will serve as a technical partner to strengthen capacity and processes to improve data collection, use, and analysis for TB control. Vital will also have a role in implementation research to improve TB control, to support national efforts to review and implement the national TB research agenda with a focus on main TB control gaps as well as introduce novel DS-TB and DR-TB treatments.

As a TB Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in conducting scoping reviews and producing policy briefs for priority areas of TB control. This project aims synthesize existing evidence (published as well as grey literature) in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention in order to inform the design and implementation of successful TB control strategies.  The TB Research Analyst will report to the Senior TB Research Advisor and work very closely with Vital Strategies from the Singapore and NY Offices to successfully implement the project in Indonesia.

Key deliverables

1. Literature Review and Selection:
   • Screen and select both published and grey literature based on predetermined inclusion/exclusion criteria.
2. Data Extraction and Synthesis:
   • Extract relevant data from selected studies and reports.
   • Synthesize data to identify key findings and trends.
3. Reporting:
   • Collaborate with the research team to interpret and report findings
   • Contribute to the reporting of results by drafting publications and/or policy briefs

Qualifications

– Prior experience in conducting systematic reviews is highly desirable.

– Proficiency in using systematic review software tools

– Excellent data analysis and synthesis skills.

– Strong written and verbal communication skills.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
