JOB FUNCTION
Authority:
-
Develop, implement, and monitor a
communications strategy and annual work plans (in conjunction with Peduli staff, GOI, partners, and DFAT),
based on regular assessments of communications needs; -
In collaboration with the Senior MEL
Officer, develop relevant communications-related outcomes, indicators, and
measures, and monitor these; -
In collaboration with the Team Leader
identify the communications functions that are to be outsourced then lead in
the commissioning and supervision of these, ensuring the program needs, and
those of GoI, partners, and DFAT are met appropriately and through high-quality
products and processes; -
Collaborate with program staff, GoI, and
partners to identify the key achievements, lessons, messages, and successful
examples of social inclusion, then produce and/or facilitate production of
high-quality communications that are tailored to various stakeholders; -
Develop and maintain positive working
relationships with targeted online, print, and broadcast journalists, editorial
writers, bloggers, and columnists to promote impactful media coverage of Peduli and matters pertaining to social
inclusion; -
Collaborate with governments and partners
to design and implement innovative ways to promote social inclusion policy
dialogue and conversations; -
Ensure effective mechanisms are in place
across the program and with partners to reduce the likelihood of
communications-related risk, and monitor and address any breaches in a timely
and appropriate manner; -
Managing communications vendors.

Lead the compilation and finalisation of
the narrative bi-annual and annual reports; and -
Provide technical, editorial, and design
input to all major program documents, including strategies, program reports,
technical documents, and studies to ensure they are well written and
communicate the key messages in ways that are suited to the various audiences.Accountability:

strategy and plan; -
Visibility of the program through a range
of communication channels; -
Management of risk;

Reach and uptake of knowledge by various
media outlets; -
Reach and uptake of offline events and
campaigns; and -
Quality of communications and knowledge products.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum
of two years progressively responsible experience in an international
development environment. -
Knowledge
of communications strategy. -
Experience
in report and journalism writing. -
Broad
network within communications organization, photography and writers. -
Ability
to juggle a range of projects simultaneously with little supervision. -
Written
and verbal fluency in English, knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia. -
Strong
inter-personal and communication skills preferred. -
Ability
to work independently. -
Attention
to detail, the ability to multitask, and organized work practices an
asset. -
Team-building
and networking skills an asset.

Minimum
of Bachelor Degree in social science, communications, journalist and other
