Vacancy at ICRC Jakarta Indonesia – Cashier (Urgent)
JOB OPENING
The International Committee of the
Red Cross Delegation in Indonesia wishes to advise all potential candidates of
the opening of a permanent position for:
Cashier 1
The
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and
independent organization with the exclusively humanitarian mission to protect
the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide
them with assistance. It also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening
International Humanitarian Law and universal humanitarian principles. The ICRC
delegation in Jakarta is seeking an experienced and highly motivated person to
fill the above-mentioned position
Responsibilities:
Cash and Finance:
- Handles
cash for Jakarta Regional Delegation
- Ÿ Respects
ICRC Rules on Financial Management and the ICRC chart of accounts
- Ÿ Provides
accountant with completed and justified accounting documents including invoices,
adequate supporting document and original receipt duly approved and signed on
green stickers (from visa CC responsible) and all necessary document (from
buyer / spender)
- Ÿ Pays
working advance to collaborators appropriately and respects the ICRC standards
for settlement
- Ÿ Settles
all cash payments as supervised by the accountant
- Ÿ Applies
the ICRC procedures for eventual discrepancies (if any), and report any
discrepancies to accountant without delay
- Ÿ Performs
daily cash control in excel sheet on daily basis for both IDR and USD
currencies
- Ÿ Takes
part in cash flow management under supervision of accountant
- Ÿ Goes
to the Bank to withdraw cash, pick up necessary document, submit original bank instruction to the bank as well as
deposit cheques for any refunds from lessor, travel agency, etc.
- Ÿ Makes sure that all vouchers are sorted & kept neatly and stayed in
proper locked place at all times
- Ÿ Makes sure that all necessary accounting document are well packed (not
only for Jakarta but as well from all sub-sites and
shipped to Internal Audit Office in due time
- Ÿ Files and responsible for Inventory of premises :
– Draw up list of inventory
– Update list of inventory
Time reporting
- Ÿ Understands
and able to explain the ICRC’s analytical accountings system
- Ÿ With
the support from accountant, supports and ensures that all members of the delegation under cost centers
“management”, “main” and “service” realize their
time reporting by the deadline of each month
- Ÿ Verifies
the appropriateness of the hours sent with the dispositive of expatriates and
delegation employees entered in the accountings (in
comparison with FS HQ Table and FS Local Table)
- Ÿ Updates
FS local table and observes the FS HQ Tables and provides an access to cost
centers, objective codes and cost units for the
users.
- Ÿ Validates
and sends the time reporting at the beginning of the month, under supervising
of Head of Finance Unit
- Ÿ Realizes
the time reporting for HQ.
- Ÿ Ensures
the follow-up of HQ comments on the time reporting sitrep together with
Accountant
Minimum required knowledge & experience:
- Ÿ University degree (BA), Accounting or business and
administration education
- Ÿ 2 years work experience in a similar field
- Ÿ Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ÿ Very Good computer skills
- Ÿ Good communication skills
- Ÿ Discrete, trustful, rigorous and reliable person
Confirmation
of capacity to assume important cash transactions
General Duties
Ÿ Be aware of the delegations objectives and activities
Ÿ Understand the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
Ÿ Apply the security rules at all times
Ÿ Respects and observes the staff regulations of the ICRC Jakarta Regional
Delegation
Ÿ The employee may be asked to perform duties and task not covered in this
job description as well as to provide support to
other departments when necessary
