VACANCY: Documentary Video Consultant

for Communication Programs (JHCCP), a not-for-profit human development

advocacy, capacity building and research and evaluation— to achieve these

We are currently seeking
qualified candidate for Documentary Video Consultant.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Johns Hopkins Center for Communication
Programs (JHCCP), with continued financial support from The Bill & Melinda
Gates Foundation (Gates Foundation) has supported BKKBN in the implementation
of the Advance Family Planning, Improving Contraceptive
Method Mix (ICMM), Reinvigorating Family Planning (MyChoice),
and Kampung KB (Family Planning Hamlet) programs. With BKKBN as the key stakeholder, the
programs are designed to contribute to the Government of Indonesia’s initiative
that is aimed to empower and improve the welfare conditions of the poor and
underprivileged communities in rural area to achieve a better quality of life
for the family and community.
JHCCP will produce audio
visual/video materials overviewing current family planning program activities
at the village level within the AFP, ICMM and MyChoice programs’ site areas.
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the
guidance of the Senior Technical Officer and in collaboration with CCP’s team
and counterparts, the consultant’s role will specifically, but not
limited to: develop script, video shooting and interviewing, editing, video
production, video duplication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor
degree or higher in relevant discipline, preferably in
communication, arts, community development and/or other related social science
field, with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience with international
development programs; strong facilitation skills, knowledge and
experience in community video facilitation, has experience in designing
community video module, has excellent communication skills, including fluency
in written and spoken in both English and Indonesia.
