Vacancy – USAID Maternal and Newborn Health Program – Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Director and Technical Director
DAI Global Health is seeking qualified candidates
for an anticipated USAID-funded maternal and newborn health (MNH) program in
Indonesia.
The project will work in six technical areas to improve: 1) quality of care in
public and private sector facilities; 2) efficiency and effectiveness of
referral systems at the community and facility level; 3) the effectiveness,
accountability and responsiveness of local governance; 4) financial protection
for the most poor and vulnerable; 5) utilization of MNH services by the most
poor and vulnerable; and 6) utilization of evidence for decision making.
DAI
is seeking candidates for:
Monitoring,
Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Director – The MERL Director
must have experience designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation
systems for complex donor funded health projects. This must include experience
in designing and implementing a monitoring and evaluation system that can
capture information at the national activity level and the individual local
solution level. The MERL Director must also have experience in leading
processes to review and analyze global and local evidence to inform
the establishment of priorities for program and policy action. He/She
must have exceptional communications and presentation skills, fluency in the
English language, strong teamwork and effective cross-cultural interpersonal
skills. The MERL Director must have significant experience working in middle
income (lower and/or upper middle income) countries. The MERL Director should
also have experience building relationships with the Ministry of Health around
data and evidence.
Technical
Director
– The Technical Director will oversee all technical aspects
of the program, including ensuring a holistic approach across all six
technical areas. The Technical Director must demonstrate professional
excellence and technical expertise in the technical areas covered by the
MNH project. He/She must have significant experience working in
middle income (lower and/or upper middle income) countries on maternal and
newborn health areas in complex health systems. He/She must have excellent
communication skill and writing ability, fluency in English, and effective
cross-cultural interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to resolve work
issues with senior country counterparts, donor representatives,
and senior-level staff.
