VACANCY USAID/IUWASH PLUS : Graphics/Layout Specialist based in Jakarta Office (JOB CODE: GLS-JKT)

The USAID  Indonesia Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene ‘Penyehatan Lingkungan Untuk Semua’ (IUWASH PLUS) program is a five-year initiative designed to assist the Government of Indonesia in increasing access to water supply and sanitation services as well as improving key hygiene behaviors among urban poor and vulnerable populations. Implemented by DAI Global LLC, IUWASH PLUS works with governmental agencies, the private sector, NGOs, communities and others to achieve the following “high level” results: 

• An increase of one million people in urban areas with access to improved water supply of which at least 500,000 are from the poorest 40% of the population; and• An increase of 500,000 people in urban areas with access to an improved sanitation facility and all of whom are from the poorest 40% of the population.

To ensure that improvements in access to WASH services are sustained, IUWASH PLUS is guided by a development hypothesis that focuses on strengthening service delivery systems so they can more effectively reach the poorest and most vulnerable segments of the population. In order to achieve this at scale, IUWASH PLUS undertakes activities through four interrelated components, including: 1) Improving household WASH services; 2) Strengthening city WASH institutional performance; 3) Strengthening the WASH financing environment; and 4) Advancing national WASH advocacy, coordination and communication.To achieve these outcomes IUWASH-PLUS need high caliber incumbent to fill the position of Graphics/Layout Specialist based in Jakarta Office  (JOB CODE : GLS – JKT)Task and Responsibility:The IUWASH PLUS Graphics/Layout Specialist will work under the direction of the IUWASH PLUS National Coordinator, Project Communications as part of the Project Communications Team within the Advocacy and Communication (component 4) Team. He/she is responsible for managing, producing and distributing program and technical reports and knowledge products, as well as providing technical assistance in graphic design and document formatting for all USAID IUWASH PLUS publications.  The tasks and responsibilities of the Graphics/Layout Specialist will include, but not be limited to, the following:• Ensure compliance with ADR 320 branding and marking guidelines of USAID, and IUWASH PLUS Style Guide, for all USAID IUWASH PLUS reports, knowledge products and publications;• Manage use of USAID and IUWASH PLUS logo and style-guide, in accordance to ADR 320 branding and marking guidelines of USAID;• Ensure timely development, production, and distribution of program, technical reports, knowledge products and IUWASH PLUS publications to USAID and IUWASH PLUS stakeholders, both hard and soft copies; • Provide technical assistance in graphic design and creative insights for all IUWASH PLUS communications materials;• Oversee tasks/performance of service providers supporting report production/reproduction (graphics, copying, etc.)• Support the Component Team Leaders and Regional Managers with timely and accurate delivery of information for the IUWASH PLUS regular reports, publications and work plans;• In collaboration with component staffs, design, develop, coordinate and produce IUWASH PLUS’s reports and communications.• Work closely and liaise with publications-related vendors such as publishing company, printing shops, and photocopy vendors; • Receive technical guidance from National Coordinator, Project Communications.Deliverables1. Production and distribution of all USAID IUWASH PLUS publications: program and technical reports, fact sheets, technical notes, newsletters, and other types of program publications, in close coordination with National Coordinator – Project Communications;2. Ensure submission of USAID IUWASH PLUS publications to USAID DEC, in close coordination with DAI Global LLC staff.Qualifications:• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant fields;• 3-5 years of previous experience in graphic design and production, or equivalent;• Experience and knowledge of the practices and techniques of digital art, graphic design, layout, and illustration;• Ability to work with various project staff and client representatives to translate their ideas into concepts and ultimately to materials;•       Experience in USAID branding and marking guidelines is a plus;• Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends on occasion, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with quick turnarounds.Expected Start Date : Available immediately APPLICATION SEND Interested applicants are invited to send a complete application with 3 references to IUWASH_plus_recruitment@dai.com  before September 7, 2016. .
