We come to work with a smile, which is easy when a strict no jerks policy applies.THE POSITION : Finance Manager LOCATION: HEADQUARTERSAs Finance Manager, you will supervise a team and lead the financial management of Kopernik, including provision of support for the various projects in its budget planning, management and financial reporting to donors. You will also ensure compliance with Indonesian regulations, GAAP and Kopernik’s procedures. The post holder will report to the Operations Director and will be offered an initial contract duration of 12 months, renewable.REQUIREMENTS
- Indonesian national
- Minimum five years of continuous work experience in the finance sector, with at least three years in similar role with nonprofit organizations. Previous experience in the private sector will be an advantage.
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline.
- Sound knowledge with relevant Indonesian laws and regulations
- Sound knowledge with the financial standards and requirements of major funding donor requirements
- Sound knowledge and past experience with GAAP practices and reporting guidelines.
- Experience with preparing financial reports using advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Experience with accounting software and willingness to learn QuickBooks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures compliance with financial requirements, policies and procedures of donors
- Ensures provision of timely financial reporting including forecasting and budget spending analysis
- In coordination with the Program Director and Program Managers; be responsible for the finance aspects of writing, reviewing and preparing project proposals.
- Oversee financial audits
- Improve internal control systems
- Provides recommendations and consults the Management Team on financial compliance issues.
- Provides supervision, mentoring and leadership to Finance Team to ensure the financial objectives are achieved and appropriate corrective actions are initiated and followed through where required.
- Lead the review and consultation for the finance section of the Operations Manual.
- Builds and trains staff and partners on financial policies and procedures.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
