fighting for children’s rights, saving their lives and providing hope for brighter futures worldwide.  Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We currently work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately
300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.  We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Coordinator in Eastern Indonesia

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Coordinator will lead the El Nino-La Nina emergency preparedness and response team and produce detailed analysis and recommendations on
response in NTT to the country programme in collaboration with
Eastern Indonesia Manager, Program Implemetation Director Humanitarian Manager and PDQ Team. She/he will be responsible for
organizing and leading need assessments related to El Nino and La Nina, identifying needs and resources and elaborating programme recommendations for the emergency response in line with Save the Children national and global priorities and establishing
an early warning monitoring system related to El Nino-La Nina to track the ongoing severity of the crisis.

 

The post holder will play a strategic role in the effective scale up and management of Save the Children emergency programmes in NTT to increase impact and enable positive change for children.
