ROLE PURPOSE:

Save the Children implement a unique project to respond to learning and development needs of children with disabilities living in rural and slum areas. IKEA Foundation funds the IDEAL project
which is promoting inclusion all Children in Education System and provision of a protected environment in schools and communities. The project has a child centered approach which means bringing the child in the center and activating duty bearers encircling
the child to ensure provision of right to education and protection of children with disabilities.

The project goal is to
increase access to quality inclusive education for children with disabilities to attain their right to education and protection. This will be achieved through establishing and strengthening an integrated and inclusive school and community model in selected
7 districts/cities in West Java province.

Senior
Project Officer (SPO) l supports Project Manager for overall project implementation in the target areas, maintain good relationship with local government, DPO and other stakeholders in West Java Province. SPO also  assist Project Manager for the financial,
programmatic implementation and monitoring project activities in the field. SPO
h consults with Education and Protection Specialist, MEAL officer to implement and monitoring the project in quality, involving children, DPO and community members.
SPO
responsible to supervise POs and case workers, NGO partners for project implementation and management (finance, logistic, administration). Senior Project Officer
reports
directly to Project Manager.
