Project Manager – Advocacy
Job Description
Project Manager main responsibility is to support the planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of KEM’s programmatic and working group activities (Advocacy)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop a strategy framework for the implementation of restorative economic practices to the national and local government.
- Manage/coordinate/facilitate/oversee KEM’s Advocacy Working Group to achieve its common objectives while ensuring that activities are aligned with KEM’s strategic goals.
- Coordinate among diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, business entities, and CSOs, to foster collaboration and drive collective action towards sustainable development.
- Manage administrative functions related to the Advocacy Working Group to support KEM’s related program running effectively
- Maintain an open channel of communication with different units, divisions, and management of KEM.
- Assist and provide meaningful input to the planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of KEM’s programmatic activities.
- Support budgeting and resource procurement activities (e.g. services of consultants, contractors, vendors) as needed for Project and Working Group activities
- Monitor progress against defined indicators, identify roadblocks and challenges, develop adaptation strategies, capture learning, and identify emerging opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/Public Administration/Social majoring or other
relevant studies with a minimum four years of relevant experience of policy and
planning at national and sub-national level. - Familiarity with project management strategy and tools to ensure effective
management. - Proven experience of managing program budget and allocating resources.
- Proven experience of managing programs and projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the organization with poise and confidence across
all levels of stakeholder interactions, from internal staff to high-level external officials. - Capable of navigating diverse communication dynamics and maintaining
professionalism in various formal and informal settings.
