Sustainable Development Division at Daya Makara UI (DMUI) plans to conduct future research activities that promote natural capital as a critical economic asset and a source of public benefits, especially for impoverished people whose livelihoods depend on natural resources. Therefore, DMUI is seeking an experienced Consultant (Natural Resource Economics) to support its future works in the Green Economy field, notably food security, water security, biodiversity conservation, energy transition, and waste management. This position is based on certain projects, not a full-time one. We will allow the selected individual to hold multiple professional responsibilities as long as he/she can deliver high-quality outputs. Flexible working hours are possible, except for obligatory coordination meetings.

Responsibilities

– Support in providing robust and unbiased economic analysis to the research across Environmental and Natural Resource workstreams

– Provide expert advice and assistance on economic analysis to ensure the research quality of team members, partners, and consultants.

– Provide assistance for the project management document, such as implementation plan, research proposal, etc.

Job Requirements

– At least a Master graduate from Environmental Economics, Natural Resource Economics, Agricultural Economics, Ecological Economics, or other relevant majors

– Proven working experience in Green Economy, Blue Economy, Food Security, Water Security, Energy Transition, or Sustainable Finance field

– Familiarity with data processing through Excel and at least one statistical software (Stata, R, or Phyton)

– Familiarity with environmental valuation, economic modeling, or Geographic Information System is a significant advantage

– Ability to travel when needed

– Being able to succeed at working independently or collectively with other colleagues
