Planet Partnerships, LLC is a boutique international economic and environmental advisory firm dedicated to advising governments, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), and private investors to identify, structure, finance, and implement innovative development solutions worldwide.
Our projects involve close consultation with development finance institutions, commercial banks, impact investors, climate funds, and government agencies. Working with partners, we design and structure investments that deliver economic and social impact through innovative financing strategies. Our clients include the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), World Bank, International Finance Corporation, African Development Bank, and others.
We seek a candidate to support our effort in new business development, and research analysis of infrastructure, high growth industries, ecosystem conservation, and sustainable investment projects. This position will help the firm continue to grow our role and brand as a leading advisor to governments, financial institutions, and investors on partnership approaches to economic development. The role will be performed from our Bali (Sanur) office, working with our international teams in the Asia-Pacific, Sub-Saharan Africa, the United States, and other geographies.
Responsibilities
Planet Partnerships is seeking a committed individual and an engaged team player with analytical, critical, strategic thinking, outstanding communication skills and passion for economic development and sustainability issues. The individual will be given exciting opportunities for growth in the other areas of the business. Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Identify and track high-potential international development opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategic focus.
- Lead proposal development, translating technical expertise into compelling, donor-compliant submissions.
- Support the recruitment of consultants for existing and potential new international development projects worldwide.
- Manage a pipeline of potential projects and provide strategic insights to leadership on growth opportunities.
- Support budgeting, pricing strategies, and risk assessment for new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment on project objectives.
- Provide ‘on-demand’ input by contributing valuable insights, knowledge, and expertise on the relevant topics.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various topics/subject matter to identify new business opportunities and ongoing projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with consultants, partners, and clients.
- Coordinate project travel planning and logistics in Indonesia and other countries.
- Carry out other specific duties and tasks as may be assigned on demand in line with business needs.
Qualifications Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as finance, economics, environmental management, law, and development.
- A minimum of 3 years of international management consulting, preferably with an international consulting firm, NGO, or relevant organization.
- Passion for economic development, environmental conservation, poverty alleviation, investment, and entrepreneurship.
- Possess the flexibility to work effectively across various time zones and international environments.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines efficiently.
- Excel at working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, critical, strategic thinking.
- Problem-solving mentality, with an ability to think quickly and shift gears.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Speak fluent and write professionally in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and social media.
- Experience with professional networking and talent acquisition platforms such as LinkedIn, Devex, and others.
- Established professional networks in Indonesia in private sector, government, NGOs, startups, Venture Capital, and other relevant organizations desired.
