Background
Wahid Foundation (WF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of a tolerant and multicultural society in Indonesia with strong works on interfaith dialogue, peacebuilding, community empowerment, freedom of religion and belief, and preventing/countering violent extremism (P/CVE). Established in 2004 by KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), the 4th President of Indonesia, Wahid Foundation has been working with various grassroots actors, such as religious and indigenous leaders, community organizations, as well as youth and women activists. Having strong partnership with a wide network of civil society and multiple levels of state stakeholders, WF also has a solid capacity to facilitate policy advocacy to advance the public agenda for a more tolerant, inclusive, and resilient society in Indonesia.
We are looking for a passionate, values-driven and experienced Accounting Staff to provide overall financial and operations. We are looking for someone with a strong commitment and a solid experience of financial and accounting.

Specific Duties
A. Budgeting
- Coordination with SFO to update the program budget in the accounting package (SANGO application);
- Provide updates on actual spending as per program to SFO periodically or if needed suddenly;
- Provide professional advice to SFO when preparing the budget related to the history details of budget preparation for similar programs.
B. Financial Management – Program
- As a Person in Charge (PIC), perform cashier functions to make payments either through petty cash or bank transfer (MCM);
- Conduct final checking to ensure all supporting documents are complete (adequate supporting documents) and payment requests and settlements have received approval from the authorized person to provide approval (duly approved by authorized person) before making payments;
- Ensure all travel advance requests are in accordance with the TOR and are transferred to the applicant on time;
- Ensure there are no multiple outstanding cash advances for each Wahid Foundation staff involved in the program;
- Check and match financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and proof of transactions;
- Maintain and report outstanding cash advance staff to SFO;
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and monthly petty cash count sheet program.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations;
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including billing and payments.
- Record daily financial transactions into the accounting system (general journal, ledger, etc.).

C. Accounting and Financial Reporting – Program
- Posting to SANGO all financial transactions that occur in accordance with the account code program correctly;
- Cooperating & Coordination with SFO to review accounting data in SANGO periodically – bi-weekly – to be matched with supporting documents and check the accuracy of the accounting code program per budget line;
- Ensuring account withhold, such as PPh 21, 23 and BPJS, are deposited every month so that the balance in accounting is a fresh balance;
- Preparing monthly financial reporting in the report template provided by the Donor for review by SFO.
- Cooperating/Coordination with SFO to prepare financial reporting for the Wahid Foundation as an entity periodically, namely monthly, semi-annually and annually;
- Filing all Wahid Foundation financial documents in a safe place.
D. Audit
- Cooperate & Coordination with SFO to facilitate the financial audit process by external auditors, both financial audits of the Wahid Foundation as an entity and audits of projects;
- Cooperate/Coordination with SFO to facilitate financial reviews conducted by donors periodically;
- Prepare all required documents, both by auditors and financial reviewers.
E. Financial Controlling
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow) and review financial documents/reports to ensure accuracy and completeness into the accounting system (general journal, ledger, etc.);
F. Others
- Provide financial and accounting professional advice to Wahid Foundation staff when necessary;
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations;
- Share knowledge with SFO regarding accounting and financial report status of all projects and Institutions so that no tasks in the Finance Unit are neglected when the SFO is not in the office;
- Accept special or additional assignments from SFO when necessary and actively promote WF values including; EEO, gender equality, and social inclusion.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- Experiences at least 5 – 10 years
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Preferably candidates who have experience in NGO/CSO.
- Attention to detail (detailed-oriented), highly organized, and problem-solving skills.
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Basic math and accounting skills.
- Experience managing petty cash.
- Experience managing budgets and expenses.
- Comfortable handling confidential information.
- Proficient in MS Office, SANGO Application
- Experience working with multi-function printers, including the ability to scan documents and send them as an email attachment, configure copy settings and perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing toner cartridges.
