Kaleka, (kaleka.id) is an Indonesian non-profit research institute established in 2014 with aims to sustainable and equitable production of commodities and use of natural resources by engaging governments, business, and social communities. As we scale up, we are seeking motivated and skilled professionals to join our team and support our mission.

Key of Responsibilities

• Monitor the progress of conservation activity planning in terms of timeline and budgeting.
• Conduct reviews, monitoring, and evaluation of conservation activity progress.
• Review analysis and update Conservation SOPs as developed.
• Review and coordinate activities related to Carbon and other conservation incentive schemes.
• Assess the quality of conservation activity reports.
• Conduct literature studies related to conservation activities.
• Develop planning models for conservation intervention design.
• Formulate strategies for the implementation of conservation activities.
• Coordinate, communicate, and mentor field teams.
• Assist the Association Chair in preparing internal and external reports.
• Establish communication at the Regional Government, Central Government, and Partner Organization levels.
• Report progress, challenges, and obstacles while providing concrete solutions to achieve the Association’s KPIs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Forestry/Environmental Studies.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in forest conservation, including carbon mechanisms.
• Experienced in forest conservation or protection, such as Social Forestry, High Conservation Value (HCV), and farmer empowerment in conservation activities.
• Understanding of carbon accounting concepts and carbon certification, such as Verra and CCB standards, is an advantage.
• Familiar with reports, methods, and data related to biodiversity monitoring.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• Ability to establish good collaboration and coordination with internal teams as well as external parties.
