Effective financial planning and reporting are essential for ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient implementation of project activities.
To support these objectives, Landesa Indonesia seeks a qualified and motivated Financial Accounting Assistant to provide part-time financial and administrative support to the Indonesian Program. The position will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with an initial contract period from December 2025 to March 2027 and the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
Objective of the Assignment
The primary objective of this position is to provide high-quality financial accounting and administrative support to ensure efficient planning, tracking, and reporting of project funds under the Asia Mangroves and Coastal Livelihoods Project in Indonesia.
Scope of Work
| Finance & Accounting | : | Oversee, review and approve financial transactions and reporting. |
| Ensure accurate monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting. | ||
| Review and prepare donor financial reports, VAT/withholding tax, and statutory filings. | ||
| Lead timely financial reporting to Country Lead, donors, and global office. | ||
| Supervise petty cash reconciliation and accuracy of financial entries. | ||
| Budgeting & Planning | : | Lead development of annual, quarterly, and project budgets. |
| Track, analyze, and report on burn rates and variances. | ||
| Provide financial planning input to Country Lead and program managers. Support donor proposal budgeting and scenario planning. |

| Compliance & Policy | : | Ensure compliance with donor, tax, and government regulations. |
| Maintain and update internal financial and operational policies.
Ensure audit readiness and coordinate with internal/external auditors |

| Strategic Operations | : | Oversee procurement processes and ensure alignment with financial compliance. |
| Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions. | ||
| Provide strategic financial advice and risk assessment to Country Lead and regional leadership. | ||
| Supervise, coach, and build capacity of the Office & Finance Assistant. | ||
| Contribute to country-level safety, risk management, and efficiency improvements. | ||

Duration and Work Schedule

| Work Arrangement | : | Part-time, Jakarta-based, with coordination as required by the Indonesia Program Director. |
Deliverables
- Monthly activity summaries and timesheets.
- Monthly financial support reports submitted to the Indonesia Program Director.
- Contributions to updated financial templates or SOPs (as applicable).
Qualifications
| · Master’s Degree in Accounting would be a plus. |
| · 10+ years working experience in senior accounting and/ or finance management. Non-profit experience is a plus. |
| · Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow management, general finance and budgeting. |
| · Good Bahasa Indonesia & English communication skills. |
| · Must have strong Internal Auditing experience/ logistics. |
| · Good working knowledge of Indonesian taxation is a plus. |
| · Good analytical skills and ability to inform and summarize financial reports for management. |
| · Experience with corporate governance & compliance a plus. |
| · Highly organized, honest and work well under pressure. |

Management and Reporting
The Financial Accounting Assistant will report directly to the Indonesia Program Director and will work closely with the finance and operations team of Landesa Bumi Indonesia.
