GIZ – EnDev: Intern for IT Database
Energy Program
Indonesia/ASEAN plays a prominent role in enabling local actors to adopt
renewable energy solutions for the people’s benefit through 4 (four)
joint-implemented projects, namely Energising Development (EnDev), Promotion of
Least Cost Renewables in Indonesia (LCORE), Development of a NAMA for
Energy-Efficient Cooling System and Cold Supply in Indonesian Industry and
Commerce (Green Chillers), and ASEAN Renewable Energy Support Programme
(ASEAN-RESP). Moreover, the joint-implemented projects are also aiming at
supporting Government of Indonesia in enabling conditions towards their RE
target in Indonesia.
target in Indonesia can be achieved by providing a well-managed RE database
information system. One of GIZ Energy Program-implemented projects,
ENDEV, has established consolidated RE Map to visualise their project locations
in Indonesia. As results, RE Map has supported EnDev to identify and
monitor system performance on conducting inspections and technical
recommendations on over 500 small power and solar power mini grids.
the monitoring system performance, RE database information system is also
useful to support RE system planning and grid integration. Thus, further
database collection should be addressed on three parameters, such as: an actual
renewable energy source per regions, existing power system both on-grid and
off-grid applications, and electricity demand. Those parameters should be
integrated with the PLN electricity business plan (RUPTL), which leads to a
fundamental of RE deployment strategies in Indonesia.
Indonesia is seeking one qualified Indonesian candidate for the following

armed with database with over 200,000 data records and SMS Gateway system to
support better advice and decision making for the GIZ and our stakeholders.
Simultaneous data and information should be maintained better, anticipating
more data and information to be managed in the system.
