MSH started working in Indonesia in 1980 with a focus on improving child health, decentralizing health services, expanding access to care and treatment for TB, and strengthening pharmaceutical management. In 2023, MSH was awarded the five-year USAID BEBAS-TB activity to reduce TB incidence and mortality by addressing critical gaps and challenges in the TB program. This activity builds on the work of previous USAID projects and aims to improve access and utilization of quality and patient-centered comprehensive TB services. To achieve the objectives, MSH is looking for Data Management Associate.
Overall Responsibilities
Reporting to the National MERL Advisor and working closely with the BEBAS-TB technical and provincial team, the Data Management Associate will support the data collection and management of BEBAS-TB activity. The successful candidate will ensure the data prepared is complete, put in the template, and clean for further analysis by the national office.
Specific Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, tabulate, collate and store data from BEBAS-TB activities at national and provincial level. Assist the MERL team in processing monitoring and evaluation data, tracking project targets and indicators to measure performance. Support the BEBAS-TB team in implementing the DQA tool in BEBAS-TB supported area. In consultation with the Research Advisor, HIS Advisor, and MERL Advisor, support the implementation of research and assessment activities. Support the MERL team to implement BEBAS-TB MERL activities at the national level.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, health information systems and other health areas are preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in data management or quantitative research.
Competencies:
- Good understanding of basic monitoring and evaluation concepts, and strong data management.
- Understanding and familiarity of public health issues and infectious diseases in a complex environment
- Specific TB knowledge is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent ability in using data systems like Microsoft Excel, STATA, Tableau or other software for data processing
- Basic web-based data collection skills include developing and collecting data using web-based tools such as Microsoft form, Survey Monkeys, Google Form, ONA/ODK, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and intermediate proficiency in English language
- Organizational and analytical skills
- Flexibility in the approach of various problems in different settings
Physical demands:
- Some domestic travel as required.
- Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
