SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Assistant Program Officer (APO) will support the program team in implementing inclusive economy programs, with a focus on enabling MSMEs, SMEs, and job seekers in Indonesia to benefit from digital economy opportunities while mitigating digital risks. The APO will provide day-to-day support for program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and grant administration. The role forms part of the broader digital economy program, including support for training delivery, policy dialogues, community-based initiatives, and digital clinic activities. This position is designed to strengthen program quality, accountability, and learn across related programs.
RELATIONSHIP
Internal Relationship
- Work closely with the program team on program implementation, program tracking, monitoring and evaluation data, and grant administration
- Liaise TAF regional team and as required
- Regular contact with other program staff within the Foundation’s offices
External Relationship
- Assist the program unit in developing and maintaining contacts with other local and international NGOs and government agencies
- Assist the program unit in maintaining and developing relationships with existing donors and funding agencies.
- Attend conferences, events, and donor coordination meetings on behalf of the Foundation as assigned by supervisor.
- Assist in developing and maintaining good public relations.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support the program unit in implementing inclusive digital economy programs, including digital literacy and cybersecurity trainings, policy advocacies, and community-based digital upskilling activities.
- Lead routine data collection and tracking for program monitoring and learning, including recording activities, milestones, and partner deliverables.
- Collect, organize, and maintain program data, learning outputs, and documentation to support reporting, reflection, and program improvement.
- Assist in the administration of grants and agreements related programs, including tracking deliverables and coordinating with grants and finance teams.
- Support coordination with implementing partners, universities, clinics, consultants, and other
- Contribute to internal and donor reporting, particularly in presenting program-related data.
- Support organization of meetings, workshops, dialogues, learning sessions, and clinic-related activities.
- Perform other program support tasks as assigned by the Program Director.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Minimum of two years progressively responsible experience in an international development environment.
- Knowledge of MIS systems and familiarity with reporting requirements
- Experience working with Indonesian NGOs at the national/provincial/district level
- Excellent program management and organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle a range of projects simultaneously with little supervision.
- Experience working on budgets and handling routine financial management.
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Prior experience on an international donor-funded program is highly desirable.
Education
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social science, public policy, development studies, or other relevant area.
Other
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and organized work practices are assets.
- Team building and networking skills are an asset.
