Job Description

The Strategic Purchasing for Primary Health Care (SP4PHC) project, which is a nine-year program supported by a grant from the Gates Foundation that supports countries to improve how funds are allocated to healthcare providers to achieve the goal of universal health coverage.

In Indonesia, SP4PHC has been working with the Ministry of Health (MOH) since late 2022 on supporting the MOH’s Health Transformation agenda and specifically focusing on reforms around improving PHC, health financing, and digital health across Indonesia. SP4PHC Indonesia is implementing four workstreams, which aim to support the MOH through at PHC Consortium (Workstream 1), improve how JKN purchases PHC services (Workstream 2), foster integration of telemedicine into purchasing arrangements for PHC services (Workstream 3), and performance management for decision-making at district level (Workstream 4).

 

As the SP4PHC Indonesia project approaches its close-out phase, there is a need to engage a qualified vendor to support the preparation and implementation of close-out activities. This includes organizing and delivering a series of webinars to disseminate key findings and lessons learned, as well as providing copy-editing support to ensure that final knowledge products are clear, consistent, and publication ready. This support is essential to ensure that project outputs are effectively communicated and documented as part of the project’s completion.

Objectives

The primary objective of the activities is to:

To improve writing quality, clarity and consistency of relevant learning products produced by HSI under the SP4PHC project in Indonesia

Scope Of Work

  • Proofread and copyedit selected SP4PHC knowledge products
    1. Proofread and copyedit draft of selected SP4PHC knowledge products to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
    2. Improve clarity, logical flow, and readability of content to ensure it is understandable for a non technical audience while maintaining technical accuracy.
  • Edit format and style of selected SP4PHC knowledge products
    1. Standardize document formatting to ensure consistency in layout, margins, headings, citations, tables, figures, and numbering.
    2. Ensure consistent use of font style, font size, capitalization, bold, italics, and underline across all documents.
  • Prepare layout and graphic design for dissemination
    1. Develop layout and graphic design drafts of selected SP4PHC knowledge products suitable for dissemination and publication.
    2. Revise layout and design based on feedback from HSI and relevant stakeholders.
  • Finalize knowledge products for publication
    1. Integrate consolidated feedback from HSI and relevant stakeholders into revised versions of the documents.
    2. Finalize all supported knowledge products to ensure they are ready for publication.

Qualification

  • Excellent written communications skills in English and Indonesian
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in copyediting, layouting document with graphic design, and proofreading a formal document (related certification desirable)
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in communication, languages, social sciences or any related background.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity, to effectively communicate with government officials, development partners, other staff, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work remote effectively; and be proactive, flexible, conscientious, and responsive.
