Traineeship (Project: GIZ Indonesia for the Services for International Staff Unit)

Project Overview

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German implementing organization which provides services worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. In Indonesia GIZ has been working since 1975 with the country office located in Jakarta.

GIZ has undertaken a fundamental transformation towards integrated solutions with digital transformation and implementation excellence as key concepts to adapt to the ever-changing global and regional landscape. Integrated solutions enable the company to contribute to regional and international changes more effectively and efficiently while at the same time supporting the Indonesian government to achieve Indonesia’s Vision of 2045. As a result, GIZ is making processes more efficient and providing services more effectively.

We are currently seeking 1 (one) qualified Indonesian candidate for this position.


The incumbent will be assigned in the Services for International Staff Unit in the GIZ Country Office and will support and assist the unit in providing various services for international staff assigned to Indonesia and their families.


In carrying out his/her role, the Services for International Intern performs the following major functions/duties:

  1. Organizing documents
  • Filling expatriate documents.
  • Filling Value-added tax (VAT) documents.
  • Assist in collecting and selecting Value-added tax (VAT) documents.
  • Assist in collecting documents of project vehicles.
  • Support in the preparation of documents before submitting to the Indonesian Ministries.
  1. General Corporate Tasks
  • Performs administrative and other tasks relevant to the job or organization units when the need arises.
  • Participates in team tasks and other corporate entrepreneurial or strategy-linked endeavors.

Job Requirements


  • Student / fresh graduate bachelor’s degree or Diploma III in secretary, administration, public relations, communication, tourism, or international relations.

Other knowledge, additional competences

  • Excellent English communication skills both in spoken and written.
  • Very good working knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office and MS Access would be of advantage).
  • Applicants domiciled in JaBoDeTaBek are preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team and to adapt to an international working environment.

Duty Station: Jakarta

Working Hours: 5 working days per week, 8 working hours per day

Period of Traineeship: 6 months (1 May 2024 – 31 October 2024)
